3mm Finsa Fibraprint Fusion White MDF 3mm x 600 x 400
These 3mm laser-compatible Finsa Fibraprint Fusion white-painted MDF sheets, measuring 600mm x 400mm, offer all the same qualities as standard MDF but with a matte white finish. The white finish and the underlying MDF material create a nice contrast when laser engraving. These MDF sheets have been painted matte white on one side, the other being a standard MDF finish. These sheets do require some cleaning up after cutting/engraving, we do carry other painted MDF sheets that engrave more easily.
Finsa Fibraprint painted MDF was initially developed for the furniture industry but can be used in place of standard MDF for all of the same applications. These sheets are suitable for use in internal dry conditions. Dye sublimating this product is possible, but only for the very experienced.
Our laser MDFs are EU class E1, which means low formaldehyde emissions. It is this low formaldehyde emission that makes this MDF suitable for laser cutting.
Please note:
- As wood is a natural product, the sheet often has a crook or bow. The natural twist might be in excess of 10mm (see below—Tolerances and Caution).
- Fibraprint Fusion meets Class E1 requirements as defined in EN 622-1 European Standard.
- This product is often described as ‘Laser Grade’ MDF but there is no official classification for this. We believe that E1 conforming MDF is the safest and best MDF for use in a laser cutter.
- These sheets do require some cleaning up after cutting/engraving, we do carry other painted MDF sheets that engrave more easily.

Tolerances:
The manufacturing tolerance for the thickness of MDF sheets is the stated thickness +/-0.15mm. This means a 3mm MDF sheet could be between 2.85mm and 3.15mm in thickness.
Tolerances:
As wood is a natural product there is often a bow or crook to the MDF and in some cases a twist. We have measured in excess of 10mm rise between the flat centre of the MDF and the corner. If you are using this product on a laser cutter; these sheets should be strapped/taped to the laser bed before cutting.
