Eight days left. A 40-kilometre-wide meteor is racing towards Earth at a speed of 30,000 kilometres an hour. The anticipated strike zone is right in the middle of Europe. Estimated European survival rate: zero. The United States try to knock the meteor off course with nuclear weapons but fail. All of Europe is on the run. The impending catastrophe sets in motion the reorganisation of society as we know it into one within which people can live and love without consequences. While the world sinks into a huge, panicky and chaotic party, the drama unfolds around a Berlin family and their friends. They are ordinary people in a surreal world and their goal is to escape the inevitable and survive but at what cost?
