Fourth album, following 2004’s ‘The Subliminal Verses’, from one of the most credible, successful and enduring bands to survive the short-lived “nu-metal” boom of the early 00s, despite the comparative inaccessibility of their dark, anguished, brutal music. This new record, produced by Dave Fortman(Mudvayne, Evanescence, Simple Plan), sees them showing no signs of mellowing with age, except perhaps to introduce a dash of melody on the Megadeth-inspired single ‘Psychosocial’.
